How To Get Website Visitors

If you have tried online marketing and signed up for any biz opp, you probably were left setting their staring at your computer screen scratching your head.

You have just signed up for the best biz opp on the web and you got a great looking affiliate page to sell with, your new product is on its way, your bank account ballance is a little lower but you still feel confedent you will make your money back and then some in no time flat!

You were promised spill over and inclusion in the companies new big advertising campaign but after a couple of weeks your shiney stat counter on your page still reads zero! You have sent emails to all of your buddies, printed off the advertising materials and handed them out at work and the activities you attend, but still only 1 or 2 hits! If you keep scratching your head wondering what you did wrong (knowing you did exactally what they told you) you will be bald soon!

You read over the site to be sure you didn't miss the "secret" or "trick" all of your upline was using that made them so successful! You try harder, thinking I got a few hits before by doing this. Maybe if I paid for those same services I will get better results. So you shell out more hard earned cash knowing you will make it back easily because it says so on the website............

Soon you are out of money, working on your computer 24/7 trying to make at least a little money back. It starts seeming like the harder you try, the fewer results you are getting...... Still scratching your head wondering what you are doing wrong when all these other people are making big money using the same biz opp with the same information and tools.

Stop scratching!

The few  people really making the money with your great biz opp or product have either paid for a huge list and millions of website visitors, or have spent years building huge lists and a web presance that brings them thousands of hits each day.

Starting out with a "$0" budget? Might as well play the lottery!

If you are in a hurry to make your millions and don't want to do anything.......

Plan on spending about a million up front, find a great high paid team to run your biz and go back to bed............

Willing to work for it? Spend lots of time? Learn a lot of different things? End up with websites that bring you free webtraffic daily without spending another dime and with little effort? Not have to worry about how the search engines are going to change next week or month so you can keep a high rank?

• Do Not Use Hype
• Do Not Use Tricks or Traps
• Do Not Try Fooling Search Engines With Fancy Programs
• Do Not Lie
• Do Not Make Your Posts And Articles Souped up ads 
• Research your article before you post on your blog or submit to an article site.
• Keywords or search terms will always be how visitors find your website, be sure they describe your article or post.
• Brand yourself as an athority on the subject you write about. A long line of good informative articles on your subject pointing to you will put you on top of a search every time, no matter how search engines change.

Never be afraid of making a mistake. Just be sure you learn from each one. I still catch myself making a hurried post because of excitment, and disregarding my own guidlines. It still may do ok. One never knows..... I can always tweak it later anyway and I hardly ever am scratching my head anymore. I know where the web traffic is........... 

Rule #1.

If it is not bringing you traffic that is conveting to sales. Dump it!

Are you working hours a day to get hundreds of hits? Are you getting any sales? I don't care if you get signups..... Are you getting sales? ...... NO?

Why? Do your poential customers

• Trust you? Do they have a reason to?
• Get what they are looking for when they land on your page?
• See a bunch of hype and ads when they land on your page?
• Have lots of easy ways to click off your landing page?
• See "This is Joe Smiths page" and a lot of hype they know Joe didn't write?
• Do Not find a picture of you or have easy access to a detailed "about me" page?
• Find a sales page about your product or program on every profile you have?

If you answered yes to any of these questions, It may not be the web traffic you are getting that is the problem!

Look at it from their standpoint.

• Do you buy from sites you do not trust?
• Do you stay and read pages that are not what you were searching for?
• Can you figgure out what pages are about that are covered with others ads, or even what they are selling? You can see one thing..... They are out to make money from their visitors! You going to buy here?
• Each page you have on the web should have one purpose, give information, get information, or make a sale. Other information on the pages distract your visitors from your pages purpose and decrease conversion.
• A generic affiliate page is only good for final sign up or sale. I most cases it degrades you and your brand. Use these only where nessesary.
• Brand yourself or your company (not your program) and be sure every visitor has easy access to your information. Do not look like you are trying to hide something. Your visitors and customers have to trust you just like with any business.
• Want to make a "splash" online? Never use a profile page to sell your program or products! Unless you want to scare people off! Be yourself and tell the truth! Link to more information on products or services you offer. You ad worth to your profiles with the information and can gain great backlinks! Afraid of something happening if you put your info online? Shut off your computer and go to bed where it is safe!

Do your homework right and your homework will keep working for you!

Generating your own web traffic may prove to hard for some... Don't blame yourself if you do not start getting thousands of visitors! That just makes you one of the normal people! I have read over and over again, "98% of new online businessesfail". Of course they do!

Companies recruit internet newbies, give them a web page just like hundreds of thousands of others, and tells them to send their fiends and neighbors to the page to earn money. The reason they tell these normal people with no training in business or internet marketing to tell their friends and neighbors is...... They know that is about all that one person is good for! They won't tell you that, but it is the truth! They figure 3 - 10 sales per recruit, then possably 3 - 10 sales from half of the 3 - 10 you recruited.... They made some money.... Thank you very much!

It takes knowledge of internet, search engines, marketing, writing, business, and more to be successful online unless you are one of the lucky ones a guru sets up to use as a testimonial.... You know.... "A disabled person from nowhereville makes millions!" deal.

Till now! I have learned how the internet works and can get traffic. I even make money online! I do it with mostly free tools and services and have set it up so anyone can easily draw their own website traffic just by talking about what they already know about and love to do. You heard of "niche" marketing? Well what you know and love to do is your niche baby! After you have people poaring in to read your next post or article (it doesn't even take a professional writer!) you can easily ad a product or 2 to earn some income from. Heck! you may get feeling confedent enough to make your own product to sell! I do use some paid for tools and services, I can not do everything myself! But the basics are.... you can start building your web traffic and even cash flow without spending a dime!

One little tidbit to think about after the statement above. If everyone gets everything for free, how will anyone earn an income?

How do I earn income online? I do web site consultations, set up traffic generation systems, lead capture and autoresponder systems, sell advetising, and get affiliate commissions from many products and programs. I get traffic by talking about what ever I want to talk about!

Life on the internet changes rapidly if you have not noticed! The hot topics and terms of website traffic have changed many times sense I first wrote this Hub Page. Everything has changed yet it has stayed the same. The basics are still the same, This page has covered the basics.

No, there still are no "click to millions" buttons on the web, and signing up to a site, paying the fee and going to bed will still only take money out of your bank account.

I have found over my years of internet business research there are 2 main reasons most fail with their online endeavors.

1. The business they "joined" was built to fail.
2. They were not ready & did not realize how to successfully build an online business.

A professional, well rounded planed approach will lead your online business to success. It takes work and at least a little thought. If you have not learned by now, there is no webpage, product, or gimmick that will magically attract customers so if you want to build an internet business to make money online. You will have to work at it just like building any other type business. Your business has to shine above all the others online trying to do or sell the same thing. What you do right for your customers is the only edge you have in this huge jungle of millions all trying to bang on the same drum... Do It! And Do It Well!

Lets face it, the few customers most marketers do wrangle up only get shown a cookie cutter add with a link to a product or purchase page. Hint: A page full of adds will only distract your customer from purchasing from you and gives them more ways to get off your page in a hurry!
